MORDECAI

Prices start at: $5879.00

If you have ever seen the movie High Plains Drifter, you may recall his side-kick, Mordecai. What Mordecai lacked in stature he made up for in wallup.

We felt like this was the perfect name for this amplifier. The stock voice of the Mordecai is a cross between the mid 60s southern California sound and Mordecai’s larger sibling the High Plains Drifter.

The Mordecai voicing presents with a more traditional scooped midrange, more chime, and more jangle than the High Plains Drifter. The Mordecai also has a more immediate feel versus the High-Plains-Drifter, not to mention it is quite a bit more compact and portable at 46lbs and just slightly taller than a Bludodrive.

Looking for the HPD sound only more portable? The Mordecai is also available in the “Baby Drifter” voicing, which captures the essential velvet voice of the HPD, but with Mordecai’s feel and response.

Want something not so clean and pretty? The Bludophonics voicing is where it’s at! Giant flat EQ, Lower output damping, a toothy crunch when driven. Add the Bludotone/Hermida MOSFET Tube Simulator in place of the stock FET circuit, and you have a crispy, yet expressive gain that will make you not want to play anything else ever.
