The South Saturn Delta started off as an evolution of the Bludo-Drive, and has taken on a life of its own. Initially launched in response to customer requests for a modernized version of the Bludo-Drive with a built-in buffered effects loop, and all of the internal controls on the outside, the SSD goes a few steps further. Starting with its own “SSD” voicing, the SSD offers a unique tonal experience, a fresh palate on which to create your personal masterpiece. The Clean is sparkly, with a nice Jangle, and even mid response, the Overdrive is a touch players dream, as it is lower gain than the typical Bludo-Drive, so notes are clean when picked lightly, and drive when picked hard. Need more grease? You got it! The SSD’s 4 Button foot-switch offers 16 combinations from clean to scream. The SSD also features the Bludotone/Hermida MOSFET Tube Simulator circuit , which is basically a foot switchable “Floating” gain stage that can be stacked in front of any combination of the other foot switch buttons, clean or overdrive, for fluid, saturated overdrive sounds, or crunchy in-between sounds on the clean.

New for 2024 is a re-vamped component selection, utilizing even higher quality and arguably better sounding capacitors and resistors in the preamplifier, and voicing improvements based on customer feedback. There is no resting on laurels around these parts, every amp is a commitment pushing the envelope even further.
