The Bludo-Drive Mini is Bludotone’s first PCB based hybrid design, and since things are done a little differently around here, this design puts great tone, high quality, and product longevity first, meaning that these are not mass produced, and each one is individually hand assembled, and tone-tested by Brandon Montgomery.

The Bludo-Drive Mini is made with all of the same kinds of great sounding, High Quality components and materials as its all-tube siblings: From the custom-made Vishay/Draloric carbon film resistors and CDE “Orange Drop”Capacitors, to the full-size 24mm CTS potentiometers and Mil-spec silver stranded teflon coaxial cable, this is a real amplifier, with real tone, made with the gigging musician in mind.

Being of hybrid Vacuum tube/Class-D design, all of the components that typically make all-tube amplifiers heavy are eliminated, making the Bludo-Drive Mini extremely light weight and portable; but don’t let the compact size fool you, this little powerhouse is packing an IcePower 100/200W Class D Power amp, so it’s loud enough to get yelled at for being way too loud in virtually any situation. The beauty of the Class D amp is that they don’t need to be turned up to sound good, and they have the feeling of power-on-demand under your fingertips, so it sounds great in the bedroom or in the stadium.

For those situations where you have to play direct, the line out jack provides a buffered low impedance tube-driven output that is perfect to go straight in to your cabinet emulator. Packed with features, the Bludo-Drive Mini offers portability and flexibility for home enthusiasts and professional working musicians alike!

• “Sweet Classic”(an early/mid 80’s sound with fuller low, and a familiar dip in the mids, more headroom to the feel. Overdrive presents with more of a crunch or sizzle vs the “Smooth Skyline” due to the change in EQ curve, excellent note separation)
• “Bludo’s Bestest” (Warm and full with a nice give and breakup, chewy feel, EQ similar to the Smooth Skyline but slightly less mid-mid. Overdrive is fat and smooth, almost liquid feeling)
